My story

I’ve been learning this city my whole life.

Decatur raised, Athens educated, Virginia-Highland based. This is how I got here.

Decatur

Raised where the square is the whole social calendar.

I grew up in Decatur: festivals on the square, a city small enough to walk and big enough to matter. Before I ever had a license to sell houses here, I knew which streets flood, which shortcuts actually work, and where to be on a Friday night.

My office today is on West Ponce, about a mile from where I grew up. That is not an accident.

Athens

UGA, magna cum laude.

Athens taught me something I still build on: a place feels like yours when the people in it know you. I studied Health Promotion, graduated magna cum laude, and came home to Atlanta wanting to help people feel at home somewhere.

Virginia-Highland

Home is a bungalow street I walk twice a day.

These days I live in Virginia-Highland, and my market research happens on foot. I walk the same streets every day, past the 1920s bungalows, the porches, and the for-sale signs that go up and come down. When I tell you what a street is really like, it’s because I was on it this morning.

VAMO

Fifty name tags. Seventy people. The rest is momentum.

Atlanta’s networking scene felt corporate and impersonal, so eventually I stopped waiting for someone else to fix it. I printed flyers, talked local businesses into giveaways, and bought 50 name tags hoping ten friends might show up. Seventy people came. VAMO Rising Professionals has been growing ever since: rooftop DJs, headshot stations, and a monthly room full of people figuring out this city together.

VAMO isn’t a sales funnel, and it never will be. It’s the part of my week that would exist even if it never sold a single house. Come to the next one →
